DESCRIPTION:How to protect yourself and your business from White Collar Crime and Identity Theft: A Panel of Experts Guiding You Through The Process.\n\n\n\nWe will have a panel of experts teaching you how to protect yourself and your business from White Collar Crime and Identity Theft. \n\n\n\nMembers of the Panel will include a representative from the ID Theft and Fraud Investigation Unit at the Colorado Bureau of Investigations\, a senior assistant attorney general in the consumer fraud unit of the Colorado Attorney General's Office\, a convicted felon of racketerring and operating a Ponzi scheme\, and a rabbi.\n\n\n\nThere will be networking\, food and drink prior to the panel presentation.\n\n\n\nAbout the panel members:\n\n\n\nHazel Heckers coordinates the Victim Assistance Program at the Colorado Bureau of Investigation where she provides direct services and support to crime victims and coordinates community education and professional training across the state and on a national basis. Hazel established the first 24 Hour ID Theft and Fraud Hotline in the nation and was in the forefront in bringing the issues of Medical ID Theft\, Child ID Theft\, Family Violence and ID Theft\, and Disaster Response Related ID Theft and Fraud to light. She is considered a national expert in ID Theft and Fraud.\n\n\n\nMark Jackson was a stock market trader for over thirty years. His business gradually morphed itself into a Ponzi scheme that was deemed by The Denver Business Journal as one of the most notorious financial crimes in Denver history. A Denver Grand Jury indicted him on 59 counts. Mark pled guilty to one count of racketeering and was sentenced to a 15 year prison term in the Colorado Department of Corrections. Rather than wallow in anger and self-pity\, he made the decision to embrace his prison sentence and use it as a tool to rehabilitate himself. He now visits prisons in Colorado speaking to inmates about reintegrating into society. Mark has reinvented himself as an author\, educator and professional keynote speaker. \n\n\n\nRabbi Raphael Leban's warmth\, wit and wisdom have made him a beloved teacher of Torah with a devoted following of students from across the community. Originally from Virginia\, Rabbi Leban learned Torah at the Mir Yeshiva in Israel and received Rabbinic Ordination from Rabbi Z.N. Goldberg of the Jerusalem Beis Din. He is the author of Torah Today\, a popular series of comments on the weekly parsha. As Managing Director of TJE\, Rabbi Leban develops the outreach and community programs\, and co-shleps the organization to greatness along with Rabbi Wasserman.\n\n\n\nLibby DeBlasio Webster is a senior assistant attorney general in the consumer fraud unit of the Colorado Attorney General's Office. She has worked in the office since 2006\, enforcing both the Colorado Consumer Protection Act and Charitable Solicitations Act. Prior to working for the Attorney General\, Libby worked in private practice\, following a judicial clerkship for the Hon. Alan Loeb in the Colorado Court of Appeals.
