Responsible for assisting Residents in their daily living routines. Duties are performed under the indirect supervision of the Nurse or Supervisor, with established procedures and guidelines. Errors in accuracy, judgment, and level of professionalism affect the safe, smooth and efficient operation of the department, ultimately impacting residents, their families, management and co-worker's trust levels.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for the “Assisted Daily Living” duties and functions that allow the Residents to be clean and comfortable. i.e., transferring, mobility, bathing, changing briefs, peri-care, toileting, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, changing bed linens, etc.
- Physically ensures the Residents get to appointments such as salons, transportation, activities, and meals, including pushing wheelchairs, following closely behind walkers, keeping track of and responding to schedules.
- Responsible for the Residents under their care & recording communications for co-workers, shift summaries and care notes.
